We Will Be His Love

Soon, very soon, I will be traveling to a far off place (Uganda, East Africa-to be exact) with these women.  We will be opening our hearts to what the Lord wants to show us.  Most likely, our hearts will be broken.

Broken to minister.
God takes our broken hearts and heals them.  He showers us with mercy and grace.  He shows us what needs to be done.  He then sends us out to be His instrument of healing to others.
Showering mercy and grace.

Unknowable without first being broken.

Incapable without experiencing His healing.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to preach the good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion-
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
Isaiah 61:1-3a

We have received His love.  We will be His love.
